April 22-26, 2020 in Neve Shalom – Wahat al-Salam Guest House
With Dharma Teacher Chan Hao
“Please call me by my true names, so I can wake up and the door of my heart could be left open, the door of compassion. Please Call Me By My True Names.” – Thich Nhat Hanh
As a child during the Vietnam war, Chan Hao saw and experienced much suffering. Her family then immigrated to Canada, where she worked as a teacher and a social worker, touched deeply by the suffering in individuals and communities, especially in teenagers and young adults. In 1986, she participated in her first Thich Nhat Hanh mindfulness retreat. Thay’s teachings and mindful way of life helped her to transform her suffering, and water her own joy. Chan Hao became a Dharma Teacher in 1994, sharing her experiences and the fruits of the practice.
